RED EMMA the opera is based upon an original play by Carol Bolt (1941-2000), who adapted her play as a libretto. The play is about Emma Goldman, the anarchist and activist.

RED EMMA was premiered at the du Maurier Theatre in Toronto, on November 28 and 29, and December 1, 2, and 3, of 1995.
