Jan. 31/03 Paul Paterson called looking for f.o. version and we discovered that he is the arranger of this work. He is a prof. at U of Manitoba (204) 474-8398, ppaters@cc.umanitoba.ca. He created this arrangement in the 1960s for his high school T.L. Kennedy S.S. with the permission and guidance of Godfrey Ridout. We have this score because it was sent to John Bird of GVT for possible publication, but Bird declined and it was never published. Paul is interested in getting Ridout estate permission and has been given Ridout’s daughter’s name and number to contact. They have yet to contact. Paul has manuscript score and parts in his possession. Mar. 18/03 Ms. Lesley MacDonald of Guelph Concert Band (519) 837-0276 interested in obtaining a band version. Called and left message with her partner (?) advising that one has never been published, but the arrangement with the most legitmacy is the one done by Paterson. Gave his email and U of Manitoba #.
