Commissioned by Stephen Ralls and the Aldeburgh Connection, in 2000 and premiered by Monica Whicher and Bruce Ubukata. It was part of a series of commissions on texts from Canadian authors about different parts of Toronto. The poem is by the poet, Raymond Souster from his Collected Poems, Volume 6, published by Oberon Press.
